When you use SplitMonk, we may collect:

• Account data - email address, name, and password hash when you sign up.
• Website data - pages, copy, and layout structure of sites you connect to SplitMonk for optimization.
• Analytics data - anonymized visitor interactions (clicks, conversions, scroll depth) collected via our edge script to measure experiment performance.
• Usage data - how you interact with the SplitMonk dashboard (pages visited, features used).
• Payment data - processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store card numbers.

3. How we use your data

• To provide, maintain, and improve the SplitMonk service.
• To run A/B experiments and measure conversion performance on your connected sites.
• To generate AI-powered copy and layout suggestions.
• To send transactional emails (experiment results, account notifications).
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate SplitMonk (hosting, payment processing, email delivery), and only to the extent required for them to perform their services.

5. Cookies

Our edge script sets a first-party cookie on your visitors' browsers to assign them to experiment variants consistently. This cookie contains no personal information - only a random variant identifier. Our dashboard uses session cookies for authentication.

6. Data retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Experiment analytics data is retained for 24 months after collection. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, or export your personal data. You may also object to processing or request restriction. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@splitmonk.com.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit, encrypt data at rest, and follow the principle of least privilege for internal access. Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare's edge network.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of SplitMonk after changes constitutes acceptance.
